Luxemburg, 29/03/2006 (Agence Europe) - Following what the Austrian newspaper Die Presse termed a “good old fight”, Austria has again appointed Peter Jann as judge at the European Court of Justice. Seventy one year old Peter Jann, who was first appointed to the Court in 1995, will, on 6 October 2006, begin his third mandate which will run until 2012. The Austrian Parliamentary committee responsible has just approved Chancellor Schüssel's choice.
