Parliament in favour of natural disaster early warning and prevention instrument with sufficient funding within and outside EU

Brussels, 17/03/2006 (Agence Europe) - The European Parliament is in favour of setting up an early warning mechanism and preparation instrument for emergency situations to improve the EU civil protection mechanism's response capacity, but the draft regulation presented by the Commission to establish such an instrument does not go as far as it would like.
