GENERAL NEWS / (eu) ep/budget

17/03/2006 (Agence Europe) - In Strasbourg on 15 March, the European Parliament decided to postpone adoption of the report by Ingeborg Grassle (EPP-ED, Germany) on amendments to 2002 measures of the Financial Regulation on the EU's general budget. The report has been sent to the EP's Budgets Committee. The main improvements being looked at by the EP cover protecting the EP's rights (payments and right to be informed) and simplifying procedures for the award of contracts.
