28/02/2006 (Agence Europe) - At the end of a debate on the information report by parliamentarian Daniel Garrigue on the 7th Framework Research and Development Programme, the delegation representing the European Union at the French Assembly adopted a resolution in which it: 1) considers it necessary that France take a position, possibly with other Member States, on the project for a European Institute of Technology; 2) calls for budgetary means to be implemented that would enable the new tools proposed in the 7th FRDP to be viable, such as the European Research Council; 3) insists that significantly more funding be available to encourage mobility of researchers, notably in the sphere of “Marie Curie” actions.
