Brussels, 28/02/2006 (Agence Europe) - At an invitation from Czech Prime Minister Jiri Paroubek and the president of the Party of European Socialists (PES), MEP Poul Nyrup Rasmussen, the leaders of the European Socialist and Social-Democrat parties are to meet in Prague on 10 March. Their discussions will focus essentially on the Spring Summit, energy policy and the situation in the Middle East. Participants will include Tony Blair and the European Parliament will be represented notably by its president, Josep Borrell, and by the president of the Socialist Group, Martin Schulz. The European Commission will be represented by its Commissioners Vladimir Spidla and Joaquin Almunia, and the Committee of the Regions by its president, Michel Delebarre, and Mercedes Bresso, a press release states.
