28/02/2006 (Agence Europe) - The Commission has authorised the project of the American investment bank, Goldman Sachs, and Japanese Daiwa Securities SMBC Principal Investments Co. Ltd and Sumitono Mitsui Banking Corporation to acquire joint control of Sanyo Electric Co. Ltd, a Japanese company that manufactures electrical and electronic products. The operation was endorsed after simplified review procedure.
