Court President Bo Vesterdorf refuses to suspend Spanish gas group Gas Natural's takeover of Endesa

Luxemburg, 02/02/2006 (Agence Europe) - The President of the European Court of First Instance Bo Vesterdorf has refused Spanish company Endesa's request for the temporary suspension of Spanish gas group Gas Natural's hostile takeover bid. Endesa failed to demonstrate that its shareholders would suffer any serious and irreparable prejudice because of the legal uncertainty, caused, it had claimed, by the takeover bid, said the President of the Court.
