Swedish company EMC Development accuses Commission of having rejected its complaint filed against Portland cement manufacturer

Luxembourg, 31/01/2006 (Agence Europe) - The Swedish company EMC Development considers that the European manufacturers of Portland cement are acting in breach of competition rules and it is attacking the European Commission for refusing to investigate. EMC had filed a complaint with the Commission concerning the EN 197-1 standard adopted in application of the 1988 Directive 89/106/EEC on construction material.
