Joaquin Almunia urges new Member States to guarantee price stability and good public information when joining euro

Brussels, 31/01/2006 (Agence Europe) - On Monday, addressing finance ministry and central bank representatives of Member States still to join the euro, Joaquin Almunia said public opinion in most countries was that prices went up when the euro was introduced.
