Dick Marty says it is unlikely European governments were unaware of CIA “rendition” operations to Europe - No proof that “black sites” exist

Brussels, 24/01/2006 (Agence Europe) - There is still no irrefutable proof that CIA secret detention centres exist in Europe although there is a “great deal of coherent, convergent evidence pointing to the existence of a system of 'relocation' or 'outsourcing' of torture”, probably known to European governments, the investigator for the Council of Europe, Dick Marty, explains in a 25-page interim assessment presented in Strasbourg on 24 January.
