Confirmation of Commission's decision ruling aid to Italian banking sector incompatible with Common Market rules

Luxembourg, 16/12/2005 (Agence Europe) - The European Court of Justice has confirmed the decision of the Commission on the incompatibility of aid in favour of the Italian banking sector with the common market rules, because this aid may affect trade between the Member States and thus distort competition, according to a press release.
