Commission presents blueprint to fight HIV/AIDS in 2006-2009

Brussels, 16/12/2005 (Agence Europe) - On 15 December, the European Commission adopted a Communication on “combatting HIV/AIDS within the European Union and in the neighbouring countries 2006-2009”. This follows up on the Commission working paper on a “Coordinated and integrated approach to combat HIV/AIDS” adopted in 2004. The need for intensified action is confirmed by the latest data on the epidemic released by the EuroHIV network in the run-up to the World AIDS Day on December 1....
