Equipment sector in favour of amendments on “noise directive”

Brussels, 16/12/2005 (Agence Europe) - The CECE (Committee for European Construction Equipment) welcomes the EU Council's adoption, on 8 December, of a directive amending certain provisions of Directive 2000/14/EC on noise emissions from equipment for use outdoors. In a press release on 9 December, the organisation specifies that “some of the noise limits” specified in the directive “would not be technically achievable in the conditions foreseen by the Directive”, mainly because...
