Ten countries have exceeded milk quotas and have to pay total of 364 million euros

Brussels, 30/09/2005 (Agence Europe) - According to provisional calculations by the European Commission revealed on Friday, ten Member States of the EU have exceeded their milk quotas by 1092 million tonnes in total (deliveries and direct sales) in the course of the quota year 2004-2005. The total sum of levies from producers in these countries has come to 364 million euros, compared with 385 millions euros the previous year (EUROPE 8800).
