30/09/2005 (Agence Europe) - Spain has requested the registration of the “Patata de Galicia” in the list under the Community regulation on the protection of designations of origin and geographical indications (Official Journal C240 of 30 September 2005). This eating potato of the variety “Kennebec” is produced in four sub-zones of the autonomous community of Galicia: Bergantiños (Coruña), Terra Cha-A Mariña (Lugo), Lemos (Lugo) and A Limia (Orense)
