Pascal Lamy attends Global Progressive Forum in Milan before UN Summit - Global Call to Anti-Poverty Action

Strasbourg, 08/09/2005 (Agence Europe) - The Party of European Socialists (PES), the Socialist Group at the European Parliament and the Socialist International are organising a Global Progressive Forum in Milan on 9-10 September to rally opposition to US attempts to make the UN abandon the Millennium Goals (MDG) ahead of the UN Summit in New York on 14-16 September, which is due to consider progress in meeting the Millennium Development Goals.
