MEPs and Commission challenge Council cuts on research and external aid

Brussels, 08/09/2005 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday in Strasbourg, the members of the European Parliament and the European Commission voiced firm objection to the cuts in funding for EU research and external actions made on 15 July by Member States during the first reading of the draft budget 2006.
