05/09/2005 (Agence Europe) - On 1 August 2005, Slovenia's new Permanent Representative to the EU, Igor Sencar, took over from Ciril Stokelj. Since 2004, Sencar was the Slovenian representative on the EU's Policy and Security Committee (COPS). He participated as assistant to Alojz Peterle, Member of the Convention's Praesidum (now an MEP) on the European Convention that drafted the European Constitution.
