05/09/2005 (Agence Europe) - In the run-up to Afghan general and provincial elections, European External Relations Commissioner Benita Ferrero-Waldner visited Kabul on Monday where a series of politicians and military officials are expressing support for the electoral process. The visit follows close on the heels of a visit by the Supreme Allied Commander in Europe, General James Jones. At their meeting in Berlin on 13/14 September, NATO defence ministers will discuss ways and means of stepping up coordination of the command structures of NATO's forces, ISAF (International Security Force for Afghanistan) and the US-led Enduring Freedom operation against the Taliban.
