Agreement with Thailand on new Community regime for rice imports

Brussels, 05/09/2005 (Agence Europe) - On Monday, the European Commission presented Member States with the content of the agreement recently concluded with Thailand on a new EU rice import regime. The agreement provides for the application, as of September, of customs quotas for EU rice imports from Thailand. Agreements in this sector have already been signed with other major EU suppliers such as India, Pakistan and the United States (EUROPE 8971).
