05/09/2005 (Agence Europe) - "We adopted the reforms of the Banca Italia on Friday, and we were expecting a gesture from the (Antonio Fazio) which we did not get”, said the Italian Minister for Finance, Domenico Siniscalco, at a conference in Cernobbio on Sunday. “if I were Fazio, I would have left long ago”, he added, in an attempt to nudge the Life President of the Bank of Italy towards the exit, as the reform on the duration of the mandate would not be applicable to him.
