Parliament appeals to Turkish government to improve women's place in society, work and politics

Strasbourg, 11/07/2005 (Agence Europe) - The issue of human rights, including women's rights, should take a “primordial place” in the European Union's negotiations with Turkey. Adopting a resolution on the role of women in Turkey in the social, economic and political fields, by a large majority on Thursday 7 July in Strasbourg, the Parliament did not fail to reiterate this message.
