27/04/2005 (Agence Europe) - A Spanish official at the European Commission Carlos Ayala Saavedra disappeared ten days ago in the north east of Colombia, “probably a kidnap victim”, announced the Commission on Tuesday, which, nonetheless, suggested this with much caution. Detached to Colombia since 2003 to work on social development issues, Mr Saavedra was on a mission in the region known to be used for coca production.
