Brussels, 27/04/2005 (Agence Europe) - The day following the signing, on Monday, of the accession treaty for Romania and Bulgaria (EUROPE 8935), the delegations of these two candidate countries took part for the very first time at a Council session as observers. On Tuesday, the president of the Agriculture Council, Luxembourg Minister Fernand Boden, welcomed the Bulgarian Minister for Agriculture and Forestry, Tahir Kabil, as well as the Romanian Secretary of State for European Integration at the Ministry of Agriculture, Forests and Rural Development, Mugur Craciun. “We congratulate them and wish them every success with their countries' accession”, Mr Boden said. The European Commission responsible for consumer health and protection, Markos Kyprianou, held bilateral talks with the Bulgarian and Romanian delegations.
