Brussels, 08/04/2005 (Agence Europe) - “Mugabe's self-invitation to the Pope's funeral” shows that European sanctions against Zimbabwe's “dictator … are not worth the paper they are written on”, said MEP Michael Gahler (CDU), adding in a statement that “Italy cannot hide behind the concordat on access to the Vatican. … Mugabe apparently plans to meet with Italian businessmen”.
