Brussels, 22/03/2005 (Agence Europe) - Answering press questions after the Tripartite Social Summit on the highly controversial Services Directive, which will no doubt make its presence felt at the Spring Summit, Jean-Claude Juncker and José Manuel Barroso said they agreed on the need to make a number of changes to the “Bolkestein” proposal in the context of codecision procedure. “No-one can reasonably challenge the fact that an open services sector is needed in Europe”.
