Louis Michel calls for Linas-Marcourssis agreements to be implemented - full support for mediation by president Mbeki

Brussels, 22/03/2005 (Agence Europe) - Visiting the Ivory Coast last weekend, European Commissioner for Development, Louis Michel launched an appeal to all parties for rapid implementation of the commitment of the Marcourssis agreements. He also hoped that the meeting convened by the African Union Mediator, Thabo Mbeki, with the main political actors of Ivory Coast could take place soon and lead to real progress.
