At opening of Algiers summit, Javier Solana underlines need for bilateral Euro-Algerian and Euro-Maghreb relations

Brussels, 22/03/2005 (Agence Europe) - Javier Solana, who was participating at the opening of the Arab League Summit in Algiers on Tuesday, held meetings with the Algerian authorities, including President Bouteflika. These meetings focused on the evolution of bilateral relations and Mr Solana underlined that, “ratification of the association agreement is imminent from both European and Algerian sides”.
