No rush to decide safeguard measures against chinese textile imports, mandelson says

Brussels, 16/03/2005 (Agence Europe) - European Trade Commissioner, Peter Mandelson, restated on Tuesday that he would take safeguard measures against imports of Chinese textiles only as a “last resort” and only on the basis of factual and clearly established proof showing that China does not comply with its WTO commitments or that these imports cause serious distortion on the Community market.
