Brussels, 28/02/2005 (Agence Europe) - The Fisheries Ministers of the Member States of the EU reached political agreement in Brussels on Monday on plans to send EU fishing boats to parts of Asia hit by the tsunami last December. This EU initiative has still to be given the go-ahead by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO), which meets on 12 March to report back on its assessment of local needs in the fishing and aquaculture sectors.
