Strong reaction to in't Veld Report - Left calls for framework directive on public services

Strasbourg, 25/02/2005 (Agence Europe) - The adoption of the report by Dutch Democratie 666 MEP Sophia in'tVeld on state aid in the form of compensation for public services has sparked strong reaction from the Left of the European Parliament (see yesterday's EUROPE, p.14). Not only French, but also Belgian Socialists voted against the report.
