25/02/2005 (Agence Europe) - On 17 February, the German Bundestag unanimously adopted a motion rejecting the EU Council's common position on patenting software inventions. The same day, the European Parliament's Conference of Presidents instructed Josep Borrell to ask the Commission to reconsider this highly controversial draft directive (see EUROPE of 18 February, p.12).
