-Hungary: During the first three quarters of 2004, Hungary received 2.3 billion EUR in foreign direct investment (FDI), which is 505 million EUR more than the first nine months of 2003, the Hungarian Central Bank has announced. It estimates that the total amount of FDI will reach between 3 and 3.5 billion EUR this year. Since the collapse of communism in 1990, Hungary has received a total of 46.8 billion EUR in FDI.
