Finland before Court of Justice for non-respect of Community sea transport law

Brussels, 16/12/2004 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has decided to bring Finland before the Court of Justice for failing to respect regulation 4055/86 of 22 December 1986, on the freedom to provide sea transport services between the Member States, and between the Member States and third countries. This regulation bans Member States from making provisions granting more favourable treatment to service provision between two national ports (cabotage) than to service of the same kind...
