Press group, RECOLETOS from Spain (turnover EUR 198.1 million in first nine months of 2004), 78.9% controlled by British group PEARSON, has received a bid of EUR 941 million from the consortium RETOS CARTERA, which brings together managers from RECOLETOS, private Spanish investors and the BANESTO bank. This consortium has indicated that it has the option to buy 78.9% of PEARSON, which has been valued at EUR 743 million during the offer.
