16/12/2004 (Agence Europe) - Governments and representatives of insurance companies have drawn up a "Check-list of criteria to define terrorism for the purpose of compensation". A press release by the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development states that the aim of this list is not to provide a general definition of acts of terrorism, but to create a framework definition of what constitutes an act of terrorism, and to summarise the criteria required for this risk to be insurable or eligible for any other kind of compensation.
