GENERAL NEWS / (eu) eu/competition

01/12/2004 (Agence Europe) - The Commission has authorised the take-over by Mannesmannröhren-Werke AG (MRW) of German company, Fuchs. MRW is particularly active in the manufacture and distribution of tubes and its parent company, Salzgitter, is involved in the production and distribution of steel products. Fuchs makes tubes from welded steel. The operation was given the go-ahead following examination by simplified procedure.
