President Barroso opens academic year

Brussels, 19/11/2004 (Agence Europe) - The President of the new European Commission, José Manuel Barroso, will open the 55th academic year of the College of Europe in Bruges on 23 November. The first stone of the "College of Europe- Bruges campus" will be laid by President Barroso, with the rector of the College, Paul Demaret, the President of the Administrative Council Jean-Luc Dehaene, and the Minister-President of the Flemish government, Yves Leterme.
