At Carla del Ponte's request Council will step up pressure on Serbia, Bosnia and Croatia to fully cooperate with Hague tribunal

Brussels, 12/10/2004 (Agence Europe) - On Monday the External Relations Council adopted a common position and a regulation on freezing all financial and economic assets in the EU of the three people indicted by the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY): Ante Gotovina, Radovan Karadzic and Ratko Mladic. This new regulation means that the EU is in compliance with Resolution 1503 of the UN Security Council of 2003 on reinforcing cooperation with the ICTY.
