Conference of peripheral maritime regions of Europe asks if motorways of the sea can be instrument for accessibility and territorial cohesion or whether another tool needed?

Brussels, 12/10/2004 (Agence Europe) - In its response to the European Commission DG Transport's consultation document of 20 July on implementation of the Motorways of the Sea (MS), the Conference of Peripheral Maritime Regions of Europe (CPMR) regrets that:

1) the regions are excluded from the implementation stage of the motorways of the sea when they should be allowed to launch calls for tender for MS projects between territories and this opportunity should not be limited to Member...
