12/10/2004 (Agence Europe) - Since 12 August this year, France has placed a temporary ban on catches of sole in Western Channel waters by its fishing vessels. The quota allocated in 2004 to this country has been exhausted. The European Commissioner regulation confirming cessation of fishing this stock by vessels flying the French flag is publshed in the Official Journal L313 of 12 October 2004.
