Euromed Satellite Navigation Project launched in Cairo

Brussels, 24/09/2004 (Agence Europe) - As stated in yesterday's EUROPE, p.10, the Euro-Mediterranean Satellite Navigation Project (GNSS), financed by MEDA, will be launched on 27 September in Cairo. The Euromed project, conceived for a three-year duration, is to prepare the ground for participation by Mediterranean countries in the Galileo (satellite navigation) programme.
