Brussels, 08/09/2004 (Agence Europe) - The environment, agriculture and territorial questions committee at the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe is organising on 23-24 September in Chioggia, a symposium on the theme of "Sustainable Management of the Adriatic Sea: Co-operation between the Territorial Authorities". Committee chairman, Renzo Gubert, will begin the work, followed by president of the Italian Senate, Marcello Pera and the president of the Italian delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly, Claudio Azzolini. The main themes will be: 1) sustainable development of the Adriatic Sea: balance sheet for ecology, fish resources and fisheries sector; 2) co-operation in the Adriatic region: governmental, parliamentary and regional co-operation.
