President Borrell writes to Heads of State and Government proposing one minute silence in all schools

Brussels, 08/09/2004 (Agence Europe) - At 12 noon on Tuesday, 14 September in Strasbourg, the Parliament will observe a minute's silence in tribute to all the victims of the hostage-taking in the school in Beslan, North Ossetia, "with a special thought for the children", Josep Borrell, European Parliament President, writes in a letter sent on Tuesday evening to the Heads of State and Government of the EU25.
