Commission authorises Austrian combined transport regime

Brussels, 08/09/2004 (Agence Europe) - Measures planned by Austria to encourage the development of combined transport have met with the approval of the European Commission. This has just authorised a regime to divert road freight to other modes of transport and will also help towards the Kyoto objectives, nationally and at EU level. It extends an earlier regime authorised for the period 1999-2002. The total aid will come to 18 million EUR for the period. All EU transport undertakings working...
