16/06/2004 (Agence Europe) - the Commission presented the Council with a decision to amend the EU/Mexico free trade agreement. This decision adapts banana tariff quotas to the enlarged EU (2,000 tonnes at EUR 75 per tonne) and pectin (250 tonnes at a rate of 2%). This decision will cease to apply when current WTO quotas are replaced by a single tariff agreement. The decision also introduces a list of entities form the new Member States to which public procurement provisions apply.
