16/06/2004 (Agence Europe) - Speaking to the press on Wednesday, the European Parliament's representatives to the IGC, Elmar Brok and Klaus Hänsch, said that an agreement on the Constitution this Friday was possible, although there has not yet been a decisive "breakthrough". They reported some progress, but said that they were particularly concerned at the Commission's role in the excessive deficit procedure (yesterday's EUROPE, p.6).
