French company ALCATEL and the Chinese firm TCL will be merging their mobile terminals into a joint venture in which ALCATEL will have a minority stake of 45%. The possibility will exist of exchanging this stake for TCL shares in four years time. TCL will bring EUR 55 million in cash to the joint-venture as opposed to 45 millions from ALCATEL, which will also integrate its activities in mobile phones.
