29/04/2004 (Agence Europe) - The International European Movement (IEM) has called upon the European Council to act "this year, in accordance with article 26 of the draft Constitution", to respect the results of the Elections to the European Parliament when proposing the successor to Romano Prodi. The IEM has asked that after the elections of 13 June, a Council/Parliament consultation be held to discuss the candidates to the Presidency of the European Commission.
