29/04/2004 (Agence Europe) - The Party of European Socialists (PES) has announced that at its Congress of 24 April, it elected just its new President, Poul Nyrup Rasmussen, and its senior Vice-President, Giuliano Amato, but no other Vice-Presidents. Three PES Vice-Presidents will be elected at the party's next meeting (see EUROPE of 27 April, p.6).
